Dear
Parent,
I
would like to personally welcome you and your son/daughter
to the Florida Air Academy family. I trust that he/she
will have a challenging and rewarding experience
The
Florida Air Academy administrators, faculty, and staff
stand ready to provide your child with a structured and
supportive environment. To this end, all Students must
follow the Florida Air Academy Standards of Conduct and
comply with the Academy Honor Code, which states: "A
Student will not lie, cheat, or steal."
Our
Honor Code is founded on the principle that a spirit of
trust must influence all aspects of Student life, whether
in the classroom, on the athletic field, or in the dormitories.
Students are assumed to be honorable unless their actions
prove them to be otherwise. Each Student at the Academy
has a duty to accept individual responsibility by promoting
the atmosphere of trust engendered by the Honor Code.
We
understand that attending our school is an important decision
for students and parents. The best opportunities for success
occur when a young man or young woman arrives at the Academy
with a positive attitude and a desire to learn. There will
be tremendous opportunities for growth in rising to meet
the challenges for a school that stresses academics, leadership,
and self-discipline.
You
can expect all of us here at Florida Air Academy to do
our utmost to see that your son or daughter has a positive
experience and continues his/her development into a young
person well prepared to handle the challenges that lie
ahead.
James Dwight, President
Florida Air Academy
